KISS Project: Small Acts of Love

The KISS Project, delivered under the Multicultural Dementia Care and Support Centres in collaboration with Celebrate Ageing, has been a truly meaningful and successful initiative.

This special project brought together couples living with dementia to honour love, partnership, and enduring connection. Through thoughtful photography and storytelling, the project captured powerful moments that reflect both the realities of dementia and the strength of relationships that continue to thrive despite changing memories.

Each couple generously shared their personal journey stories of resilience, devotion, humour, and everyday acts of care. These stories highlight that while dementia may alter memory, it does not diminish connection, affection, or shared history.

The project has received heartfelt feedback from families, staff, and community members, reinforcing the importance of culturally responsive support and creating spaces where lived experiences are seen, heard, and celebrated.

We sincerely thank Celebrate Ageing, the participating couples, and everyone involved in making this initiative such a success.
