Personal Care Worker

Location: Metro Melbourne and Geelong

Quality, Risk and Compliance Advisor  

Location:  Millenium House, 296 Nicholson Street, Melbourne Victoria 3011 (Hybrid)

Hours: 22.8 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Embed a culture of quality and continuous improvement across AMCS by supporting managers, staff, and volunteers with guidance, training, and practical advice.
  • Maintain and enhance AMCS’s Quality Management System, compliance calendar, and risk management framework, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and statutory requirements.
  • Lead monitoring and auditing activities, including internal audits, gap analyses, and reporting to management and the Board’s Clinical Governance Subcommittee.
  • Oversee compliance with legislation, funding agreements, and sector standards, translating changes into clear and practical actions for AMCS teams.
  • Support policy development, business continuity processes, and systems for managing incidents, complaints, risks, and feedback.
  • Participate in professional development, contribute to OHS practices, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Experience in Aged Care, Health or NDIS sectors, with expertise in Quality, Risk and Compliance management.
  • Proven success leading audits, accreditation processes, and CQI initiatives.
  • Skilled in using digital quality management systems to support compliance and improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation and standards, including the Aged Care Act and Quality Standards.

Social Support Group Assistant

Location:  Geelong

Hours: 6 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and facilitate group activities that promote clients’ independence, interests, and the Active Service Model (ASM).
  • Support clients with daily tasks (e.g. meals, transport, personal care) and maintain a safe, clean program environment.
  • Encourage client participation, decision-making, and positive interaction within the group.
  • Assist with program logistics, including equipment setup, transport, administration, and record-keeping.
  • Provide support, advocacy, and supervision as required, including acting in-charge in the coordinator’s absence.

Key Selection Criteria

Essential:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care (or relevant discipline), Current Police Check & First Aid Certificate.
  • Strong organisational, time management and confidentiality skills.
  • Understanding of CHSP program requirements, ageing process, dementia, and common age-related conditions.
  • Awareness of psychological, emotional, and social aspects affecting older adults.

Desirable:

  • Victorian Driver’s Licence and experience working in community settings with seniors, volunteers, and CALD communities.
  • Knowledge of conflict management, assertiveness, and managing challenging behaviours.
