Social Gardening Café for Carers

Carers are invited to join our FREE social gardening cafes to discover the therapeutic joys of gardening, fun activities and socialising with other carers.  With a delicious morning tea and lunch, carers will receive expert guidance from a gardening professional and have the opportunity to make their own garden with their favorite plants.

Who can attend?

Carers are people who provide unpaid care and support to family members and friends who have a disability, mental illness, chronic condition, terminal illness, an alcohol or other drug issue or who are frail aged.  We welcome all carers to our centres.

What’s involved?

Attending our Social Gardening Cafe, carers will enjoy:

  • COMMUNITY GARDENING
    • Make your own garden, choose your favorite plans and receive professional gardening guidance.  Seeds and equipment are provided.
  • SOCIAL CONNECTIONS
    • Chat with other carers, make new friends, receive peer support, and have fun.
  • HEALTH & WELLBEING
    • Engage in culturally tailored, social/physical activity sessions

AMCS Social Gardening Cafe for Carers is funded by the Victorian Government and Carers Victoria.
