AMCS’ CEO Awarded Australia’s Highest Honour

Exciting Announcement:

The Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) is awarded for service worthy of particular acknowledgement and recognises Australians who have demonstrated outstanding service or exceptional achievement.

Today, Australian Multicultural Community Services (AMCS) is celebrating this extraordinary achievement and worthy recognition of our CEO, Elizabeth Drozd. Elizabeth is being awarded for her significant service to the Polish and Multicultural communities of Victoria, having worked tirelessly for more than 30 years in the Community Service sector to ensure equity and inclusion for all.

For more than 20 years, Elizabeth has guided AMCS with passion, grace and determination and for those who have worked with her, or have felt the impact of her work, we say thank you and congratulations.

In response to this award Elizabeth says “As a person who arrived in Australia under the Special Humanitarian Program many years ago, I am delighted to have had so many opportunities to contribute and make a positive impact on my own and other ethnic communities.”

As Victorians, we are lucky to have such a champion of empowerment, multiculturalism and equality always working to make a difference. Congratulations to Elizabeth from all of the team here at AMCS.
