Importance of Volunteer Visiting Programs

AMCS volunteer Gerardo Chierchia speaks to SBS Italiano on the importance of our Volunteer Visiting Programs to keep seniors company and reduce loneliness.

“In the end, it is like going back to the origins for them, and for me, it is beautiful too, I speak Italian and I find myself almost in Italy with my thoughts”, says Mr Chierchia. “When I’m with them it’s like being with friends, we really tell each other everything.”
