Community Care Review: Visitor programs meeting social needs of isolated seniors
Thank you Community Care Review for featuring our Volunteer Visiting Programs.
During lockdown, phone calls and handmade cards replaced in-person visits to bring joy to elderly Victorians.
“I will try to find someone who speaks the same language and similar hobbies,” Volunteer Coordinator Milena Schaedler said. “That volunteer comes just to spend some time with that person and provide some support and listen to them.”
